Each of your customers work closely with their team of dedicated Rackspace experts which proactively identifies and reports the trends, future opportunities and emerging issues related to their hosted environments. And they're more than available to your customers. They're accountable to them.
Monitoring Overview
Having your mission-critical servers set up at Rackspace with our Zero-Downtime Network™ and 1-hour Hardware Replacement guarantees means you never have to worry about uptime or hardware performance. But those guarantees don't help much when the applications on your server are not running correctly. For increased peace-of-mind, Rackspace offers RackWatch — a fully integrated monitoring solution that monitors the availability of all standard ports like HTTP, FTP, DNS, MS SQL, MySQL and HTTPS. RackWatch is available in the following three levels:
RackWatch Basic
This is a passive monitoring service that pings your server and performs
web port checks at 5-minute intervals. This does not generate any network
traffic. If ping fails, our monitoring service will notify us and we
will reboot the server.
Price: Free
RackWatch Gold
As with the RackWatch Basic, if ping fails, we will restart your server.
Our Gold Service also allows you to choose up to six (6) additional ports
to have monitored for a flat monthly fee. If any of these ports should
fail, our monitoring service will immediately open a support ticket and
notify you via e-mail. Once you contact your Fanatical Support team, repairs
are carried out according to our support policies.
Price: $50/month with a $50 setup fee
RackWatch Platinum
This is our highest level of monitoring. If ping fails, our monitoring
service will notify us and we will restart the server. As with the Gold
service, you can choose up to six (6) additional ports to monitor. If any
of these ports should fail, a support ticket will be created immediately
and your Fanatical Support team will automatically fix the problem.
Price: $115/month with a $75 setup fee
